Facilities Manager
Role Overview
As Facilities Manager, you will report to the School Principal. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily functioning and strategic planning of the school’s physical operations, including cleaning services, maintenance, building projects, compliance, fleet of school vehicles and health and safety. This role includes managing the cleaning department and maintenance team, ensuring all infrastructure and services operate smoothly and safely.
We are looking for a confident and resourceful professional who brings both strategic oversight and practical know-how. You should be solutions-oriented, well-organised, and comfortable leading teams in a dynamic school environment. You will also collaborate closely with school leadership on new build projects and improvements that enhance our facilities and learning spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Building Maintenance and Repairs, ensuring classrooms, offices, and other school areas are properly maintained, and the annual cycle of renewal is coordinated with the necessary external agencies;
- Ensure the school’s compliance with health and safety laws, fire regulations, and building codes;
- Cleaning and Hygiene Oversight, by supervising the cleaning team, assigning tasks and ensuring high standards of cleanliness across all school areas;
- Facilities scheduling and coordination;
- Contractor and Vendor Management, liaise with external contractors for services such as plumbing, electrical work, pest control, HVAC, etc.;
- Coordinate with external contractors during new build projects;
- Inventory and Equipment: oversee inventories for maintenance tools, cleaning products, and equipment;
- Utilities and Systems: oversee the operation of heating, cooling, lighting, and ventilation systems and monitor energy usage and implement cost-saving or environmentally friendly solutions where possible.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in facilities, site or building management—ideally in an educational or public-service setting;
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise maintenance and cleaning teams effectively;
- Solid knowledge of health and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and emergency procedures;
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal abilities;
- A proactive approach to daily operations and long-term facility planning;
- The ability to manage external contractors, oversee project work, and ensure quality standards;
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- A degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related field;
- Demonstrated experience managing maintenance and cleaning teams;
- Experience with building systems, inventory control, and budget oversight;
- Familiarity with international school environments is an advantage;
- First-aid and health & safety training/certification desirable;
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Junior Accounting Assistant
Role Overview
The Candidate we are looking for a committed and analytical professional who brings both precision and initiative to a dynamic and collaborative school environment. You should be solutions-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working under pressure while meeting regulatory and reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Classifying and posting financial documents;
- Performing bank and account reconciliations;
- Accounting for expense prepayments and accruals;
- Cataloging fixed assets and accounting for periodic depreciation;
- Maintaining the fiscal dossier;
- Submitting quarterly reports to INE;
- Controlling and converting fixed assets to tangible fixed assets.
What we're looking for

PYP, MYP & DP Portuguese Teacher
General Overall Responsibilities
Teachers are responsible for providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which to teach students the required academic knowledge and the personal and social skills to become independent learners.

Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Maintain Agendas and Minutes of Meetings for collaborative planning meetings;
- Regularly access IB documentation & resources, via the IB resource centre: MyIB;
- Actively use the IB resource centre and participate in its forums;
- Adhere to school policies and procedures;
- Adhere to guidelines, timelines, deadlines for recording student progress and providing timely feedback;
- Ensure students adhere to deadlines for the submission of tasks and homework;
- Ensure IB MYP regulations and assessment procedures are adhered to;
- Participate in the school’s IB Authorization and Evaluation processes;
- Participate in the review of school Policies (Admissions, Language, Assessment, Inclusion/SEN, Academic Honesty, Behaviour, etc.);
- Organize and lead parent workshops to ensure understanding of the IB framework, the school’s assessment philosophy, including recording and reporting processes;
- Collaborate and support whole school events, such as open-days, parent evenings, workshops, festivals, Graduation ceremonies, sporting events, plays, etc.;
- Provide student support and guidance.
Communication
- Ensure that the English language is the working language of the school and the agreed communication language with the whole school community;
- Promote the understanding and practice of academic honesty by developing activities that emphasize the importance of meeting academic honesty requirements, for students and parents to fully understand the implications and consequences of academic misconduct;
- Foster discussions to the ways in which the school develops an internationally minded community which embraces the IB’s mission statement and its learner profile;
- Keep up to date with developments and new publications in the IB.
Curriculum, Teaching & Learning
- Collaborate with Programme Coordinators to ensure continuum of the written curriculum;
- Participate in processes of backward planning to develop agreed expectations of content and skills, to gain a clear overview of what is being taught, what students should know and be able to do;
- Develop the key & related concepts, global contexts and ATL skills in the curriculum, and create units of inquiry that enhance the understanding of each;
- Participate in curriculum collaborative meetings, as outlined in the annual meeting schedule, to ensure articulation of both horizontal and vertical alignment;
- Participate in the annual reflection of the curriculum;
- Adhere to the Essential Agreements developed by the Programme Coordinator;
- Supervise students through the core elements of the programme, including, not limited to, Service as Action/CAS, Personal Project/Exhibition, Extended Essay;
- Participate in standardizing student assessment tasks, following the prescribed assessment criteria;
- Develop interdisciplinary units of inquiry;
- Ensuring teaching and learning and the written curriculum is comprehensive and aligns with the requirements of the IB programme, following the IB published subject-specific objectives and assessment criteria;
- Establish and maintain a record of completed Unit Planners;
- Establish and maintain appropriate curriculum documents for specific subject areas;
- Be aware of the school’s agreed MLA citing and referencing process and ensure students follow the process to avoid issues relating to Academic Honesty;

- Provide support to students for whom the language of instruction is not their mother tongue;
- Collaborate with the SEN Coordinator for developing strategies for differentiation in the classroom;
- Responsible for writing student reports, according to the school’s schedule for reporting;

- Participate in the annual review of student assessment data to track student progress and to inform teaching and learning, to help both existing and future students;
- Be fully aware of the process for student subject choices, particularly regarding student change of options (MYP & DP only);

Examinations, Internal & External Assessments
- Ensure that students complete the external components and the standardized assessed samples are submitted to the Programme Coordinator within the school’s internal deadlines;
- Assist the Programme Coordinator in administering examinations according to the IB prescribed schedule;
- Participate in examination invigilation;
- Be aware of IB regulations and Conduct of Examinations.
Staff
- Take part in the induction programme for all teachers at the beginning of each academic year;
- Be respectful of colleagues, and be open to share best practices.
Professional Development
- Attend IB professional training, following the Programme Coordinator’s annual selection, following staff appraisal outcomes and IB curriculum review cycles;
- Follow the school’s process for registering, using appropriate forms;
- Provide feedback to colleagues during collaborative planning, regarding findings at IB professional development training;
- Participate in all in-service training provided by the school;
- Participate in all weekly staff meetings, inset days and preparation weeks at the beginning and
end of every academic year.

- Request annual resources required for the physical and virtual learning environments, facilities, resources and specialized equipment for your specific subject, following the school’s formal request process.

Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the Programme Coordinator and Class Teachers;
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities;
- Work with other professionals, such as specialist teachers, as necessary;
- Assist class teachers with maintaining student records;
- Support students with emotional or behavioral issues and assist in developing their social skills;
- Assist in the preparation and presentation displays of student work;
- Support class teachers in photocopying and other administrative tasks in order to support teaching;
- Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety and ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean;
- Accompany students on external outings, such as: field trips or swimming sessions;
- Carry out lunchtime supervision duty;
- Assist in supervising students in the classroom, between classes, during lunch and recess;
- Carry out any tasks which contribute to the smooth running of the class or school;
- Undertake other duties from time to time as the Pedagogical Director requires;

- Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups;

- Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing, recommend and implement strategies/solutions;
- Support individual or groups of children within a class;
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILP) for individual or groups of students, as directed by the class teacher, and to help monitor the progress;
- Attend all collaborative planning meetings.
Professional Development

- Participate in in-service training as organized throughout the academic year;
